I haven't been through this before, but keep in mind that a body can be ready with NO prior signs. Women can have a high hard closed cervix and go into labor that night, you know? So I'm not sure you can judge if your body is ready, it's just a judgment call whether to try something or not. Castor oil may work, it may not.
