Really? Is it possible...

to only be about 5 weeks pregnant and already have uncomfortably-too-tight-on-the-tummy pants? I couldn't wait to get home today and get into my pj's.

I definitely think it's possible. It's mostly bloat at this point more than likely though. But you do typically show sooner with the more babies you have.

Absolutely! That happened to me last time. I bloated up right away, and none of my jeans fit anymore.

With my second pregnancy, I got clued in around 10 weeks, that my pants being constricting was exacerbating my morning sickness. I switched to maternity pants and it eased up.

I'm a bit bloaty too, not nice.

I noticed my tight jeans were making me nauseous today while driving home, so I unbuttoned! hehe

Same here! Bloating makes sense. Thanks ladies! Glad I'm not alone.

I agree bloating. I could almost feel it happening . I find swimming helps but it's still there.

I am just shy of five weeks, and am so bloated! I don't think there has been any actual weight gain... but I feel huge, and my jeans are tight in the tummy

Oh well

My pants have been tight for the last week, so I went to my local Target and picked up a Bella Band....it's wonderful! You are able to wear your normal pants unbuttoned with the band holding them together. I'm hoping to use it throughout my first trimester and hopefully into the second. I tried on maternity pants while I was there and was so not into them...not yet at least!

I'm heading towards 6 weeks and really feeling bloated in my lower belly. I remember feeling this way with third pregnancy too, but it definitely seems more noticeable this time!

Now, do they make a bellaband for my butt (and thighs and boobs) because I'm getting 'bloated' everywhere!
Yes, it's definitely possible. I'm at 6 weeks and am shyly bringing my maternity clothes back out. I had so many from my last pregnancy and they're so comfortable, I figured why wait?

It's one of the things that made me suspicious enough to test. First I thought it was just that DH must have thrown my pants in the dryer on high heat, but they are ALL tight...

Absolutely! I was bloated for 9 months straight with my son.

I had a thread about this right when I found out aver a week ago!!!! A Mama on here suggested yoga pants I ran out and got them and keep washing them so I can wear them everyday I thought they were cheaper and was going to beable to get two pair but they were more expensive than the website said! but soooooooooooooooooo worth it!

I can't make it through the day (or sitting down for that matter) without unbuttoning my pants because it was making me nauseous. I didn't think I'd puff up this much this early. Just enough to make everything slightly uncomfortable... like I suddenly put on 10lbs (even though I think I lost 2...)

I've had that feeling since 5 weeks too. I call it "waistband aversion" :P

Yep, it is possible. Aside from a belly band, and yoga pants, do you know the hair elastic trick? Fold a hair elastic in half around the button hole in your pants, and hook both ends onto the button. It gives you about an extra inch or so of stretch in your waistband.
