Am I crazy to want a ring sling too?

I have a mei tai, an adjustable pouch and a wrap (which I use every day). And I'm thinking I might want a ring sling too. Have I lost my nut?

I only have one child and I'm unlikely to have any more. She's 6 months.

To get to our garden you have to go down our narrow back steps and I'd like something I could pop her in and out of easily. Also for quick trips to the shops, etc.

I thought the adjustable pouh would be good for that sort f thing, and it was, but now I feel like she is getting too big for it.

It was great when she was smaller.

Are there things the ring sling would be good for that I can't accomplish with one of the others?

Go on, let me have it. Is it reasonable to have 4 carriers or am I obsessed?

I love ring slings. They are great for the quick pop in and out thing, and I like them better for older babies and toddlers than pouch slings.

If you sew at all, ring slings are dead easy to make for under $10.

ring slings are in a category by itself. you should most definitely get one.

No, you're not crazy. My youngest (and last) will be two next week and I still want an Ergo. My dp just lauhgs now when I tell him I want another carrier. Ring slings are great though. Real easy in and out, especially for a walking toddler.

I wouldn't say you're crazy. Different slings for different occasions. And it's not as if they wear out.

I say go for it! Sounds to me like you'd get some good use out of it.

Depending on the length of your wrap, and what it's made of, you could "slingify" it as well.

Ah, but I love my wrap and want to be able to use it too. A quick trip to google tells me that to "slingify" is a rather permanent procedure. Thanks, though!

I think I'm convinced that a ring sling would be a good idea. Now to decide which one...

Thanks so much for all the replies!

actually, no...if you wrap is long enough you can fold it in half around one ring...look up "no sew"... all you need is the rings!

Go for it. Ring slings are awesome carriers. There are many inexpensive options, including ones made by WAHMs.

RS is my favorite. I have found it to be the least cumbersome and good for on the move.

You could easily make one.

Definitely go for one! I have a rs, wrap and buckle tai. 3 carriers for different occasions. I say everyone needs a variety!

I think you can justify it to yourself by saying that you're really just replacing the pouch that she's outgrowing.
