Changeling

Has anyone seen this movie?

Ok, this post may get moved, but I'm putting it here because I couldn't stop thinking about vaccines when I was watching this film last night.

I would highly recommend watching this movie, by the way, it was really great. It is based on a true story of a mother in 1928 whose son went missing. The police in an attempt to "solve" the mystery, convinced another child who fit the description to lie and say he was her son.

She of course knew right away that it wasn't her boy, but the police insisted that she was simply not remembering correctly and he had changed a lot as he had been missing for 5 months.

Anyway, the entire movie demonstrated what can happen when authorities become corrupt and too powerful. It showed the inside of a mental institution and some ladies being forced to take shock therapy. Being drugged against their will, all for their "own good." The doctors' knew best.

Mothers intuition was regarded as nonsense and a mother who followed her instincts and voiced her concerns was simply over-emotional and psychologically fragile or defective.

Though a lot has changed since this time, much remains the same. Our intutition is still put on the back burners by leading health authorities. We still are led to believe that nonsense therapies are useful or helpful. We are still being controlled by these same monsters who want us to shut up and be good, and continue paying them to "help" us.

I hope there are enough of us willing to stand up against the corruption of our medical and political "authorities," otherwise things are going to continue to get worse.

This was a very good and disturbing movie. You are right, the authorities in the movie do the same thing regarding vaccines now.

It brings to mind what the CDC did to Dr. Goldman regarding his research in the correlation of the increase of Shingles after the CP vaccine came out. The CDC tried to stop him from publishing his findings and sent him a Cease and Desist Order. http://www.injectionbook.com/lacountynotice.html

And this isn't a "crazy mom" situation. This is a hired, educated professional doctor.

Since movie discussions are hosted in Books, Music & Other Media I'm moving there.

I saw the movie, but can't join you in recomending it. I found it unexpectedly violent and disturbing (granted, I didn't know that much about the film before watching it), and I thought the ending dragged on WAY too long.

I did like that she didn't circ her son, though.

Me too. I was surprised by the violence of the film. I found it to be chillingly horrifying.
