circumcision think twice

Hi everybody,
if you are pregnant with a boy you might want to watch a clip before you circumcise.

A lot of people dont know that the foreskin is still attached to the glands and that it will be cut off without any painmeds.

Preaching to the chior. I am willing to bet that most people on MDC know this, and many of us are anti circ. In fact, in every due date club there is a link to the forum called "The Case Against Circumcision" and mothering itself has written multiple articles on the subject.

Yes, please do join us here. There is far more to learn about the foreskin than it's attachment to thte glans of the penis at birth. And making the decision to leave a son intact isn't where you have to stop when it comes to advocacy for your child. You then have to be wary of medical personel pulling the foreskin back (ripping it from it's attachements to the glans) in an effort to "see" in there or to "clean".

Thank you all,
i guess i should have realized most of us are anti circumcision, but it just made me so mad to see the clip that i wanted to post it for the still pros.
i read about a lot of other things which are accompanied/ lost due circumcision.
i am so glad my boy is intact because all the stuff i know now i just found out after we decided against it and we only didnt do it because we had an unasissted homebirth and there was no way i would take him to a hospital.
it makes me so mad, how can doctors do that?????????

and after other things i read like doctors visit where they didnt know how to handle an intact penis i know no other doc is touching my sons penis, luckily our ped knows what not to do.

No, thanks for posting. As someone else said it is like preaching to the choir, BUT I had never even thought about the circ issue until I was on here pregnant with my first. Everyone has to have a first exposure to this information. You don't know who's day was today, KWIM?
