Do sex-ed materials nowadays show intact genitalia?

Just an idle thought I had today. When I took sex-ed in health classes in high school I remember that the little drawings of male and female parts and the male ones were definitely circed. Its been 18 years since I took Sex-ed and I would think that since the national rate of circ is nearer to 50% they would show intact male pictures rather than the circed ones. Just wondering whether our children will be taught that circ is the default. Anybody know?

We will be having our own discussions with our kids as they grow up, so I'm not relying on them to be supplying our kids with all their info about the topic.

There was a sex expert on Oprah this past week, with a pdf of a "how to talk to your kids about sex" pamplet on the Oprah site, and sure enough the diagram of male genitalia doesn't mention a foreskin anywhere. Totally irritated me. Link here: click

In my HS sex ed. course that I had back in 2003, they def. showed the male diagram with a foreskin. In fact, I can't remember ever seeing an anatomy picture that did not list the foreskin. I also recall the teacher mentioning that about half the boys in the U.S. undergo circumcision and that it really does not matter from a health standpoint whether one is circumcised or not. I further remember my textbook emphasizing the point that uncircumcised males should retract to clean. Looking back at it, I think that the emphasis placed on hygiene was a bit unnecessary because the cleaning regimen for both cut/intact males is the same. However, for an entry level sex ed. course directed at high school freshmen, I thought that the subject matter, at least from what I can remember, was presented pretty well. I, by the way, went to high school in small town PA, where attitudes towards sexual matters are usually pretty conservative and at times ignorant.

In the book I bought my daughter called "It's Perfectly Normal" it shows and talks about both.
