Okay sooo how long must i wait to see my thread in TAO?

I posted a question and have now waiting two days for it to appear. I know it should go in TAO because it does not fit into other categories and it is not a question that is against user agreements or anything....soooo...what gives? (in a non mean or complaining voice, just curious)

Just found this thread. I had a thread that I tried to post in TAO, and it never appeared. I didn't receive a PM about it, it just disappeared into the ether. I agree, TAO makes me very nervous now. I don't post there much at all anymore, and it used to be one of my favorite forums.

me too. i have no idea why it didn't appear. i was asking if anyone had ever been to a secular naming ceremony & could help me plan my daughter's (i think. it was more than a week ago so i can't quite remember what i wrote)

It looks like each of you started a thread that belonged in Ages and Stages somewhere, so checking to see if your post would fit there might be good idea.

You can always PM a mod if you really can't figure out where your thread should have gone, but PMing every person who posts an off-topic thread became very time-consuming for us, and it seems that most of the time people are able to figure out where to repost.

BTW - choosing a song to sing at a wedding is Music.

See, I would see that as either/or, music or TAO. Sometimes it's hard to decide which way to go.

I would think all the PMs asking these questions would be just as problematic.

If you think either/or, go with the nonTAO option. If the mod disagrees, she will move it, no harm no foul. If you go with the TAO option and the mod disagrees, you don't know.

It is just so frustrating that the post gets completely deleted with no notice to the original poster. In the post that was deleted, I was sharing that my son was in a television commercial. I guess because he is a toddler, it could have gone in ages and stages, or I guess it could have gone in television, but it really felt like a TAO topic to me.

I did recently post a topic in TAO that made it in, but I think I am going to avoid TAO from her on out, just to prevent posts from being deleted. I love, LOVE MDC, but TAO is just waaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too frustrating these days.

I really wish we could have found a solution that works perfectly for everyone. We tried many, many different things...this is the best we've found so far.

yeah, TAO is pretty much for guess my age, and fashion threads nowadays. And scary bugs. They go in TAO (sometimes). Oh and MiL rants, they seem to get in often.
