DId anyone watch today's episode?

I was told to watch it and only caught the tail end. I was told it would be about breastfeeding and natural birthing but I didnt see that part.

I only saw a bit because we kept getting interruptions for weather allerts, but from what I could tell it was about Peggy feeling old and out of touch. Didn't see anything about breastfeeding. But then, they certainly could've slipped it in while I was hearing about tornados and such.

You could try teleivisionwithoutpity.com

I don't know if it was the one that was on on Sunday (Sunday was a rerun). But if it's the one that I'm thinking of, then the "modern mother" was not portrayed in a very nice light. She was essentially a UAV. Nor was she entirely MDC approved.

The only good think from that episode is that Luanne learns to make her own choices instead of doing what others tell her to do.

Breastfeed was hinted at once when Luanne got a BF pillow which she though was a lucky horseshoe pillow, and natural birthing was shown as weird and to painful to go through with.

Basically all the negative stereotypes of natural childbirth.

I think that is the one that I sort of watched. A friend of mine told me I would like it and I saw the tail end of her in a hospital all drugged up so I didnt see the BF pillow part and any natural birthing references.

Thanks for that. I dont think I am interested in seeing the rest. I was hoping it was positive.

It should be on the Fox site (legal and free!) for anyone who's interested.

The show, IMO, showed the worst of both worlds. The "crunchy" mama didn't allow her children juice or to participate in festivities ("They'll have water and read a book." At a party!) and suggested hypnobirth with a "birth facillitator"/creepy guy in a Speedo, with only 2 weeks before the birth. The "mainstream" mama had painted pacifiers and wasn't just drugged, but passed out for the birth ("I didn't wake up till the ride home from the hospital!") It was silly and funny and made both sides look nuts.

OT- but has King of The Hill been canceled? I've seen ads for that new show, Sit Down and Shut Up, in the new line-up, along with The Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy.

Well I dont let my kids have juice, party or not... LOL but at least I dont make them read books during parties.

It sounds that the episode portrayed motherhood as a sort of mommy wars.

and to answer your question, yes it has been cancelled, they announced it a few weeks ago.

I thought it was a funny episode I also do not take Comedies seriously.
