Is that a slit down the front?! Now these look like something I would actually like!

Katie, I had two of those Medela Comfort bras last time and LOVED them! They were sooo comfy. But, they stretched out AND my boobs went back down so I ended up with a really droopy uniboob. Nonetheless, there was almost no uncomfortable restriction, which was so nice.

cool, thanks Katie.

re pj's - I think it's a normal vneck top. I'd imagine the stomach is closed and it's open only down to the bustline. I plan to stop by Kohl's today!

My three year old would still twiddle the other breast if I let him. He loves holding them and touching them and loving them. It drives me up a wall some days.

My blessingway (a tandem w/ another mama...did I already write that?) is tonight! I am making a cake!! Stout-chocolate. yum.

Once the blessingway is through, I consider myself READY for this birth. Had a final cranial-sacral appt. yesterday! It went great! She said I am (and baby is) ready for this birth! Hooray! It's just a matter of time, now! I'm visualizing my ideal birth and not imagining anything I'd not like...those kinds of things need to be left behind at this point, in my mind.

Here's to visualizing ideal births and birth situations!!!

I hope you have a good time tonight, russianthistle.

MW's appointment today: 34w6d: Baby is head down and engaged. Good hr. Kicked the doppler (Is that what it's called?). All seems well. (*knocking on wood*)

Oh yeah. I got some freezer meals done last week but I'm totally stealing one tonight because I feel like crap mentally and forgot to take out supper stuff for tonight.

You are totally allowed to steal from your own stash...it's hard to cook at the end of pregnancy!

Blessingway was nice. It was casual and low-key and included, only, my closest friends. I have a labor necklace that I'm nearly through stringing of carnelian, malachite, amber, moonstone, red jasper, and my blessingway beads. It's going to be super funky. I'm also knotting strand a black spinel to wear with a Hill Tribe Thai Silver Spirit Lock for grounding and determined energies.

DH had a second phone interview with the church in Seattle last night; it went really well. We had decided that he could be available next weekend to go out if they wanted to proceed. I'll be 38 weeks the Monday right after that. We're waiting to hear. Otherwise, it would be until the last weekend in May that he could go out when my mom would still be here (a week after graduation). We decided that since its' our first and still two weeks before edd, it should be safe. I'll probably just have that weekend really low key and ask my bradley instructor for help should I go into labor.

Now one question is, baby dropped around 31 weeks, at least partially, I think. That's not uncommon right for a first baby? I was measuring a week ahead on the 20 week u/s but I'm thinking both those things don't give any valid indication of being ready earlier than edd.

Hi, finally jumping in here...

Looks like you've got this figured out by now, but I was going to warn you that these probably won't be very discreet if that's what you wanted.

Now you've got me wondering what I want! I live in a coolish climate (not blazing hot in May, anyway) and will probably go with sweatpants and a t-shirt with a stretchy tank underneath, with or without nursing bra as needed. I wonder if my old nursing bras will continue to fit? I am still nursing my almost 2yo...

I was perfectly happy with my first pregnancy until the day I hit 39 weeks and had a week of GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME torture. I was comfortable, didn't feel like a whale, and then bam! It stopped exactly a week later and the next day I began labor. So... it can come on quickly.

DH was given the choice to go to Seattle next weekend or the last weekend in May - they're leaving it up to us. We're weighing when a better time to leave is...just shy of 38 weeks or when our first baby is just a couple of weeks old (mom will be here for support then).

That is tough - my initial gut reaction is better to go later JUST IN CASE, but my first was a very easy baby too (we got along well from the start ) and it's hard to predict how you'll feel then with no idea of baby's temperment.

We're leaning towards waiting. They're not actually in a hurry, I guess there are 4 weddings in the next few weeks and they're just begining to have candidates, so I think we'll throw out some dates in late May, and if they're even fine with mid to late June which it sounds like they would be, we could ALL go which would be great.

ETA: should baby be a high needs baby, that'll change my ability to go, but Dh could still go of course.

Ikea, $2.99 a yard! Can't beat that price! And it is 59" wide. They have so many great modern fabrics now.

Hey I bought some of those puppy potty training pads at the pet store...about 2ftx2ft. Would those work to protect my mattress? I've heard people refer to chucks pads or something...is that the same thing?

I believe they are, yes.

I was just at Ikea too! We have one 3 hours from us, so its not really a trip that I can make often but I will have to check out what's available online and maybe the next time I'm over there I can pick some up. I really love modern printed fabric, though I have no idea what I would do with it

If I could sew for real we would have curtains or roman blinds in some of the fabrics. Some of them would even work wells wall hangings. All of the windows in our house are oversized and are a pain to cover up. We are lucky, there are 2 Ikeas within 30 min of us. Although we try not to buy any furniture made out of MDF for health reasons we do end up with accessories and decorations from there.

I've never been to Ikea...the closest one is 8 hours away!

You can order Ikea stuff online! I used to live 30 minutes from one, and got much of my furniture there. Now the closest one is several states away, so I'll have to order online if I want new things to match
