Prayer Requests?

so, I realize that this may offend some people but I had a question (and this is where we go with those!). I am wondering why prayer requests don't get moved to spirituality yet other posts (in TAO specifically) are sent elsewhere... I'm not complaining or saying that I don't want to see prayer posts but, just wondering.. Is this a 'take it one post at a time' thing?

Thanks!

Asking for good thoughts/prayers is a pretty sensitive subject and we prefer not to make those an issue.

A lot of those are about member's children who may be sick or relatives.

The mods and admins are moms too.

If I had to pick my battles that isn't one I want to fight. If it is a long term issue that might eventually be moved to another forum, after discussing it with the OP.

There are certain subjects that we might handle entirely different because this is a parenting board and we want to make sure someone gets the loving care they may need. There are special circumstances.

I am not sure what you mean by sensitive.

If it was that sensitive I would have responded privately.

This is actually a question I've struggled with myself so thanks for asking.
I don't want to offend other members by asking for prayer requests in particular, but it does seem to be the easiest/shortest way to express my request, iykwim. For a while, I was mildly put-off to see others asking for prayers but then it occurred to me that they were just expressing a need for positive energy, thoughts and support to be sent to them in the way they were most comfortable and familiar.
If we expect tolerance in our own beliefs or lack thereof, we need to be willing to extend that same courtesy to others and be willing to interpret our belief systems in a way that's inclusive rather than divisive. How can we expect entire countries not to fight over religious issues if we can't individually interpret our own beliefs to be supportive of others'?
That's my 2 cents.

ITA, I see it as a request for positive energy, regardless of how we define it. I don't think I've ever seen it turn into an actual discussion about prayer.
