LTK Easy Peasy sizing question! Help!!

I am making an LTK Easy Peasy sweater for a friend due in 3 weeks. She'll primarily use the sweater from November-March so that will be when the baby is about 6-10 months old. She and her husband are both of medium build and their 2yo is on the small side. But she's going to BF so I don't know if the baby will be a little pudgier or not. Would you make the 6mo or 12mo size?? Thanks for any suggestions! I want to try and start this tonight!

While I don't have experience with that pattern- I would make the larger of the two. Nothing stinks more than pouring your heart and soul into knitting something that doesn't really even get a chance to be worn....

: It's a lot easier to cuff and tie a larger sweater to make it fit than try to stretch out a smaller one. Also, if she has a bigger baby, 6 mos will be way too small by 9 mos. One of my friends had a boy born 9lbs and change who was wearing 2Ts by a year. He was EBF, too.

I agree, knit the bigger size! I just finished one for my youngest, the sleeves tend to be snug, imo.

Thanks! I took your advice and started the 12mo size last night!

yep, I always size up when I'm unsure about which size to do - you can always roll sleeves, etc and if it's bigger than needed, you know it'll eventually be grown into
