Organic cotton fabric

Where do you sewing divas get your organic fabric? I have been looking around on the web and there seems to be a huge variation in pricing. I am kind of new to sewing and am hoping to make some cloth mama pads for my post-partum time and would really like to use organic fabric. Is it really worth it to spend $20+ a yard for it or is the $10 stuff okay? I realize the cheaper fabric may have less of a thread count, but other than that are there other differences? Do you have any good, reliable websites you frequent for organic cotton, hemp or bamboo?

Also, what is your favorite style for the pads? I have some GladRags that I used as a prototype for my pattern but probably need something a little thicker for the first week after the baby comes. What did you find most comfortable?

I've never ordered organic fabric, so I'm no help with that, but have you seen the GladRags overnight pad? Very nice and worth trying to duplicate. It's longer, wider, and sort of hourglass shaped. So, it's going to be my pattern when I start sewing mamacloth.
