So what's up with the colors? Clue me in...

I've been productive today, especially considering I've had a sleeping sick little guy on my lap all day. He's totally lethargic and has that look in his eyes that lets you know they're REALLY sick. But while he slept on me, I've been making birthday party gifts for Avena's DD. I need to cut out some wool felt now to make them all some little pouch necklaces. Maybe have my older son finger knit the straps.

Speaking of finger knitting, my 7yo finger knits hundreds of feet at a time. No joke. We had a whole bin of finger knitting just sitting around. But this weekend I got the brilliant idea to put them all together and start twisting from both ends until they looped back on themselves (like skeins of yarn). And we made a rope swing for him!!! It's beautiful and colorful and we hung it up already. He loves it. Then I decluttered a closet and found those plastic Ikea curtain thingies and hung those up under our deck and now we have a fort under there! It took a total of 15 minutes to make the rope swing, hang it up and hang up the Ikea plastic curtains!!!

Anj, that's so cool!! Could C teach me how to finger knit? I can't seem to figure out how to get it tight, I just end up with a big ole blob of loops.

Absolutely! He's taught several of my friends, whether or not they wanted to learn.
