Is the 3/d the one they use to check fluid? I have to go in for a weight/fluid check tomorrow and Im curious to know if they use just a regular u/s machine or a 3-d one.
No, they dont use the 3-d for the fluid check. My hospital just turns the 3-d on and don't even ask, but we don't mind. They usually just do it quickly to get a peak. It will be interesting to see what he looks like when he finally joins us in comparison to the 3-d pic. I imagine that he will still look different. Anyway, here is his picture :-). Look at those lips!!!! <3

Darn you fake labor!!!!

Maybe we should do the opposite and NOT encourage your labor, maybe your body needs some reverse psychology.

"Jeez shine, its NOT labor, just BH ctx!" hehe

Shineliketheson, I hope it picks up for you now that you're not calling it labor until it is

Peony, Good luck finding the hole! I know that's probably the last thing you feel like dealing with right now.

Azreial, I hope your NST goes well and you don't have to have a tough conversation. Good luck!

michanders, I'm glad your baby is looking good, How cool that they turn on the 3d, he looks adorable, he does have some cute lips!

I'm just here cleaning & organizing my life away, trying to get to Thursday. My Grandmothers funeral yesterday was beautiful. My Dad said such an amazing eulogy where he talked about the truly deep accomplishments in mothering & what kind of mother she was. It was intense and I loved the opportunity to spend time unexpectedly with so many relatives.

I also have been using the ancient midwives trick of wine to stop ctx, I had to do it 3 nights in a row, luckily tonight the ctx are taking the night off.

Have a good night everyone !

Ugh, gross time...

Anyone else losing a mucous plug yet? I have this mucous-y discharge that I've had for several hours now. No ctx, no bloody show (some blood but not bleeding if that makes sense), no NOTHING... just icky.

I think when the doctor checked my cervix she dislodged something or pissed something off because I hadn't had an issue until this evening. Now it won't stop.

Yeah, mine came out over a week ago. The boatload of slimy discharge gets old after a while, eh.

I'm trying to actually hold out until my due date...but it's good to know I'm progressing somewhat. It's my first so it kind of felt like he was never going to want to come out!

I've only been at it a few hours and I'm ready for this part to be over. TMI... I've actually had a problem with dryness during my pregnancy so this is an entirely new thing for me.

I've been the opposite of dry but don't think I've noticed a plug come out. I've been feeling like something has been trying to work it's way out though.

Me too Shine! I'm not telling anyone anything. I just have to avoid the temptation to get my cervix checked each week just because I've had ctx and *think* that I must have dilated. Well, all of it is working to help us through labor so it'll be fine. Our EDDs are one day apart and we've both had some "false labor" stuff so it'll be interesting to see how it works out!

I always thought I would never want to get my membranes stripped either, but its starting to sound reasonable. I think if I make it past 41 weeks I would consider it. G'night everyone!

I just love how every website says things like "some thick discharge" or whatever... They need a translation page where some = a crapload and thick discharge = sticky snot material

My contractions have been going on all day - not painful, just achey. I did some cleaning and went to town with a friend to pick up items for my mother blessing tomorrow (today...). I did so much walking around. Baby seems to be squirming a lot. Can't wait for my mw to come in the morning - I'm really curious about any possible progress toward labor!

She said she can predict gender, birthdate, or what baby will look like. I personally asked about gender and birthdate.
