swaddlebees ?s -what isgoing wrong?

nak

so i got some small swaddlebees for ds2 (i use mother ease one size for ds1 but they were way to big for a long time in the beginning). every single diaper has leaked! i have liners(they're like two pieces but sewn together at one end- one is longer and the shorter is soft like the inside of the diaper) i have tired putting them both inside, both outside, one in and one out, changing the way i snap the outside but it ends with leaks! at first the leg holes were too big for ds2 but now he has gained a lot of weight and the legholes are fine but it seems like maybe the waist is getting small? i don't know exactly how much ds weighs but he is over 10 lb.
how long do smalls usually fit? should i trade some in (if i can) for mediums?
why are they leaking and leaking and leaking?
thanks!

Are you using their AIOs? I'm kind of confused by what you are asking. If you are using their AIOs we discovered that you don't want to add anything. We tried to use doublers in them early on (I thought we were supposed to...) and they leaked like crazy. Now we just use them alone and they are our favorite diapers.

Do you have the swaddlebees AIO? Mine leak quite a lot if I leave them on DD for more than 2 hours. This is not a long-term diaper. Like the PP, I don't stuff it with anything extra. I love these diapers...just wish they were more absorbent!

sorry its so confusing.

i believe i have the pocket- there is only one thin layer of the cotton velor. i think it may be the mini nappi. i think i may have to trade some in for the regular aio- besides the ones i'm using. i'll keep experimenting for now.
(and i have the doubler thats suppose to go with it)

These are my favorite diapers largely because they are super easy to put on and take off while she's mostly standing. We EC so she doesn't actually pee in them much. So the absorbency doesn't effect us much. I'm sorry they aren't as perfect for you.

Now that your kiddo is over 10 pounds, I would just use the meos and deal with the bulk... as long as it doesn't leak, kwim? Swaddlebees are great, but it sounds like those were just not working for his shape.
