practical question about full breast

So my daughter went through a phase where she wasn't so interested in "neh-nehs," then a phase where she couldn't get enough, and now she's back in the not-so-much phase. In fact, she nursed twice today. Both boobs this morning, but then nothing until I put her to sleep, when she only drained one side. So now I have a totally full boob, and know that she won't nurse again until morning... so what do I do? I'm fine with her weaning, as I'm TTC and don't want to tandem nurse (personal choice), but I'm a bit uncomfortable right now. Should I dig my pump out from the basement storage? Should I wait it out?

Assuming that you want your supply to decrease, I would hand express just enough so that you are comfortable.

When that happened to me I got relief from going into a warm shower and gently getting enough milk out to feel comfy.
