What age for Star Wars?? - Page 2

I would be ok with 4, 5 and 6 at a MUCH younger age than I would 1, 2 and 3

Plus I don't think 1, 2 and 3 are very good anyways.

I'm with you. 1, 2, and, 3 just don't measure up.

The originals- Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi- pretty much any age interested. When I was in 2nd grade, we watched Empire at school the day before one of our breaks- something that would likely NOT be allowed at school today. The violence isn't all that graphic.

The newer ones- 1 and 2 aren't that graphic from what I remember- but also not very good. Revenge of the Sith is the most graphic- when Anakin becomes Vader- burned up in lava, etc., and I'd think a little older.- 8 or 9 maybe.

DD (almost 6) and ds2 (almost 4) have seen the originals multiple times. There was very little in them that I had any concerns about, and didn't even end up editing. They both love them. (I can't remember what age ds1 was when he saw them.)

DS1 and I have seen the three new ones in the theater. DH hasn't seen the third one. We have no interest in renting them. I don't remember the first two that well, but I would hesitate to let the little ones watch the third one...both the death of the Padawans, and the last fight between Ben and Anakin are a little much, imo. That said...I don't really care, because I didn't like the new ones, anyway.
