mother's day gift ideas?

I know this a bit early but it takes time to do the crafts. I am looking for ideas for my 3 yo to make for her 3 grandmas, 2 great grandmas and one special aunt. Last year she painted flower pots and I included some dirt and seeds.
Any ideas for this year?

We've done salt dough hand prints to great success(you make salt dough, roll it into a ball and then flatten it out, press there little hand into it, heat it in the oven till hard, then paint it).

Last year we put handprints of all the grandkids on an apron for my mom. She loves to cook and loves to show it off.

Last year we made a stepping stone for the garden. DS put his handprint in it, and decorated it with little colored stones. He also painted a reusable shopping bag for her, and she loved it. I have no idea what we're doing this year.

I was also going to suggest stepping stones. The DC loved doing this and had a lot of fun

i am making cards for my mom. they'll be blank inside so she can give them to whomever she pleases. some of them have quotes, some say happy birthday, etc. one of the other scrapbookers at the last crop i attended was doing this and i thought it was a great idea! you could easily adapt the idea to include a little one or have the little one decorate a box or envelopes to put the cards in.

I've thought of the stepping stones but several of the moms involved live in apts so that won't work, I am going to save it for bday ideas for now. I am thinking maybe something with handprints of maybe making suncatchers, or maybe a painting in a frame....we'll see.

Awesome! I'm going to do this for the Grandmas, I think. DD is only 5 months so no drawing or painting. But her little hand print will be perfect!

Or footprints! My ds would have fisted up his hand too much to do handprints at that age. We made a Father's Day t-shirt when he was about 9 months. I used rubber stamps and fabric paint to write Happy First Father's Day and printed ds's two feet. I did them on the chest off to the side the way an emblem is positioned on a shirt since the feet and the letters were all rather small.

I love the stepping-stone ideas!! That is too cute.

Last year when DS was three, he made beaded necklaces for his grandmothers. They were easy to send through the mail, which was nice. For my mom's necklace, we put a dozen or so wooden beads on a pipe cleaner (actually two pipe cleaners) to hold them steady and he painted them with two different colors of acrylic paint. It turned out cute! And for Dh's mom he used those multi-colored clear plastic beads that are cut like gemstones. They looked pretty too. We were a little tight on money so it was very frugal and fun. And the grandmas love to wear their handmade jewelry.

I like the idea of the reusable bag. I think my mum will like it! Last year my dd made her a flower with candies. http://krazykakes.com . She loved it!
