So sorry Nancy! I could loan you my almost 4 year old who wants to play ALL DAY LONG, but I know it wouldn't be the same as having your baby!!!
It was hard to get baby to move this morning, took forever, scary. Finally she did some but not as much as usual. Is this normal at this stage??? I drank OJ and am up now so will see if she moves more... I had a bad backache last night probably from all the walking I did yesterday and a sharp pain low on my abdomen next to my leg. But now that is gone, just the dull backache, which I remember having prelabor with DD. Okay baby is moving good now, I feel better! I want her out so I don't have to worry about that anymore!
It's going to be a beatiful day here today, almost 70, so we plan to be out all day long. DD got a new bigwheel and my how she can fly! Now all we need is her new glider swing she's getting for her birthday so she can push herself!

REsponding to yesterday's post...
Yes, will be interesting to see. I don't know why I"m surprised this one hasn't arrived yet, this whole pregnancy has been different from DDs. I too thought I'd never do the membranes but I will at 41 weeks.
Hope things pickup for you!!!
Liseux: I'm glad the funeral was beautiful. Funerals can be so hard. I wrote something that my BIL read at my dad's funeral, I just couldn't read it myself but I'm glad I was able to tell who he was in my own words...
Azreial: Let me know who I resign to also...this pregnancy is wearing me down!

Me too Shine! I'm not telling anyone anything. I just have to avoid the temptation to get my cervix checked each week just because I've had ctx and *think* that I must have dilated.
Well, all of it is working to help us through labor so it'll be fine. Our EDDs are one day apart and we've both had some "false labor" stuff so it'll be interesting to see how it works out!I always thought I would never want to get my membranes stripped either, but its starting to sound reasonable. I think if I make it past 41 weeks I would consider it. G'night everyone! |

My contractions have been going on all day - not painful, just achey. I did some cleaning and went to town with a friend to pick up items for my mother blessing tomorrow (today...). I did so much walking around. Baby seems to be squirming a lot. Can't wait for my mw to come in the morning - I'm really curious about any possible progress toward labor!

I'm sort of awake, I guess. Didn't sleep too well after a certain point, and kept tossing and turning for hours until it was time to get up. It is then that I fall asleep again. So annoying. Today I have about 15 meetings with students, which will be a blast. Tonight, we have friends over for dinner, and it is my night to cook. It will be fun IF I can stay awake that long.
Shine - I asked my Dr. yesterday about baby movements, primarily because LO is a little sluggish in the morning and it always worries me. It's almost as if I forget how intense his night kicks are. Anyway, he said that it's normal if they slow down and become less intense as long as you get 10 kicks in 2 hours.
Nancy - Yes. I wish the same thing. But chances are it ain't going to happen for me any time soon.
I was going to catch up on yesterday's threat, but I had to go to bed too early to miss the major late night action. Hope everyone continues to be well. Off

My mom invited Madeline over to spend the night tonight, I can't decide if I want her to. A break is always nice but she really wants to see this baby being born. My mom is only 20 minutes away but I'm not sure if I will call my mom to come when I'm in labor anyway, and if Madeline is over there then I'll have no choice.

Don't you still pregnant mamas know that I'm relying on you to help me remember the date? Okay, Wednesday...I can find a calendar and figure it out.
Obviously there is less internet time with a little one (actually, some days there is more, but it's just one handed, so I's reading but not responding), but I'm still watching and cheering everyone on. Come on out, babies!!!

I start feeling like I'll be pregnant forever

My due date is on the 21st but I really start thinking baby loves it so much in there he'll stay in my belly until he's a teenager
And... you know what ? i'm starting to be used to it too
Ok, I'm tired, sore etc but... well... i'm getting used to it

I am finally just about over the nasty cough that I have had for like a month, maybe more and now my stomach is upset
![]() I really quit! Who can I had my letter of resignation in to? |
Just yesterday my MW told me in her 20 years delivering babies she's only ever had three patients who delivered while sick. She says babies just wait. So get better! She told me when I let her know I'd been sick last week she said to herself that she knew I wouldn't be delivering before this week at the earliest then.

Good morning (almost afternoon here) everyone! I slept ok last night. I was definitely up for a little while and the birds were chirping (which was nice, but not when I wanted to sleep) really loudly and I thought I was going to be up at 5:30 AM. Thankfully I managed to fall back to sleep and stay asleep until 11!
Nancy - you are too funny. Maybe softball practice will send you into labor.
I'm ready for my lo to come out and play too - but I think we all are.
I hope some of us go into labor today! I have until 6 tomorrow and if not I will start being induced (and I'm ok with that but of course would rather go on my own). Either way I should be meeting LO soon!!!!

yesterday evening was wierd - I was hungry so I started fixing grilled cheese and then started to get nausous. Then started getting what felt like bad menstral cramp (well cramping I could feel in my cervix and butt). I swirled my hips at the counter and paced for a while.
Finally the sandwich was done and I took that and water to my bedroom and sat on my ball. The cramping diminished to almost nothing. Ate, but still felt nausous.
Early this morning woke with heartburn, nausea and cold sweats. I almost feel like i'm coming down with something. I went back to sleep, feel better, but still feel off.

So over the weekend, we went swimming. DH was looking at me in my swimsuit, and freaked out because he thought my knees were really swollen. I had to kindly inform him that was not swelling but a result of all the weight I've put on this pg.
He is used to be gaining half the amount that I have this time.

that's so funny but it's not
pregnancy just rakes havoc on our bodies doesn't it?
So I don't think I'm getting sick I think I was just really hungry
I decided to risk it and eat and I feel better
Nancy I almost gave up and went back to work on Monday. I was really tired Monday morning though otherwise I just might have
I would be really nice to take a break and go back to non-pregnant life for a bit
My back is killing me today

Seriously, I'm going to just ignore all of this.
I feel quite normal today, despite some squirming in there, and the weather is going to be nice for the next few days. My brain is ready to play ball. I realize my body isn't, but hell... I went skiing at 28 weeks for six days, I can most certainly throw the ball around for an hour at 38 weeks.
I'm all puffy-looking and sloth-like and I can't take it anymore. Spring fever.
All I do is sit around waiting for a new sign of labor. Well, it's stupid and I'm going to go back to living my life. If I ignore it, maybe it will go away.
I know I'm not overdue or anything, but this is how I feel: overdue. I'm huge, the baby is way strong, I'm rested, and there's no reason why it shouldn't just come out now.
So that's it. I'm done.

I saw my mw this morning. We didn't check my cervix. She did tell me that baby is much lower this week, though.
She checked my hemoglobin along with the regular prenatal exam stuff, and I'm still healthy all-around.
Mw's assistant guessed baby's size as in the high 8 pound/low 9-lb range. My first two were 9lb 3oz & 10lb 2oz. (I was 9lb 6oz, so genetics are running things here...) I have to admit that I would prefer this baby to be closer to 8lb - I'd really love to be able to put a baby in NB clothes, dipes & booties...
I left my girls with a friend and I'm supposed to be getting my house ready for my mother blessing. I have less than an hour and a half, so I need to go so I can finish before she shows up with the kiddos. I hope to find more great baby news when I come back!
