Morning sickness

It started a little last week but I was 6 weeks on Monday and its definitely here now. This time it seems to be different though. I'm having that all of the sudden urge to puke out of the blue type of ms. I haven't puked yet but it caught me off gaurd in the middle of the cosmetics section of the mall yesterday where I thought I might use my oversized lunch bag to catch it if I had to. Then this morning it hit me as I was riding in the car - thank goodness I wasn't driving. My last two pregnancies were different though - I mostly had some warning and felt crappy alot. This time I feel fine but I never know when its going to strike. I don't know which version I prefer.

So what are the remedies everyone is using or has used? I tried preggy pops last time but the didn't always work.

I got myself some b6 yesterday. The 100mgs size. It's wonderful. I know you an pair it with half a unisom but I opted for a higher dose of the b6 and no unisom. I start feeling better within 10ish minutes of taking it. I'm quite surprised at how well it works actually. I wasn't expecting it to hit for awhile. With both my DD's it didn't hit til around 8ish weeks, this time I have been feeling like crap for about a week. I'm almost 4 now.

That's a good tip. I didn't get sick until 8 weeks with my DD too. I was sick from about 4 weeks on like you with my DS. I wonder if that means we're having boys this time??

I was just queezy feeling last week. Now I'm actually getting dry heaves and yesterday I threw up. I think my vomiting is triggered by my prenatals, so I'm going to take them before bed and see if that helps. Yesterday sucking on lifesavers helped.

OMG life savers sound so freakin good right now and I don't have a single one! I'm going to check the vending machines here at work.

Ugh . . . morning sickness (what a misnomer!) started coming on last week and now I'm nauseous half the day. Usually I don't get it til 6-7 weeks, and I'm only 5 weeks today! I feel bad for my sister, who is 17 weeks and still throwing up several times a day.

I try to keep a little something in my stomach, and ginger tea or pickled ginger (like the sushi kind... but the thought of sushi is gross... but just get the ginger)... are the *only* things that work for me.

I had these little ginger candies for motion sickness I'm on the way to the store to find, because those would be awesome right now.

I feel so gross that if I'm not falling asleep I feel like I'm going to barf.

Tell me the name of the ginger candies if you can find them! I will look here for them. They sound good.

Oh yes. I have a hefty stash of Gin Gins near me at all times. Good thing they're yummy.

Oh man, I am so sick. I have constant, relentless nausea and have been throwing up 5+ times a day. It's awful! I was pretty sick with DD but not quite this bad. I was sick until week 21 with her, too, so hopefully this doesn't last nearly as long.

The other thing is that smells are KILLING me this time around.

Exercise and veggies help me feel better. Unfortunately m/s just makes me want to eat carbs and sleep.

My nausea just started Wednesday, and it seems to show up in the afternoon/early evening for me. With my first I had a stomach of steel, but I don't foresee that happening again.

I have some really delicious organic ginger sticks that are coated in raw sugar. I honestly wouldn't know how to go about getting them in the States, but it seems easy enough--dry the ginger (or buy it that way for lazies like me!) and put on a little dash of sugar for taste.

They work so well that I just went in and inhaled a sandwich.

I've been nauseated since my bfp, but today I was praying to the procelain goddess.

With DS1 it hit around 7 weeks, with DS2 about 6 weeks. I'm 5w1d today, and just this evening around dinner things started not sitting quite right. I'm a little afraid of what tomorrow morning will bring. With both boys I spent until about 17 weeks throwing up immediately upon waking up, and then periodically throughout the day.

I feel nauseous through out the day. Exercise always makes me feel better. But also, I keep fresh mint in my crisper and put several stems with a small piece of rock sugar in a mug, pour boiling water over it and let it steep for several minutes. That takes away my nausea. I have a cup every morning and I think that's why I haven't puked yet.

The only time I almost hurled was at a restaurant where the guy next to us ordered mussels, god the smell...

last time i had it from weeks 10 - 14 and really only for a few hours in the morning. this time around it seems to be random and at any time... Hmmmm...
maybe it means it's a ? who knows.

I have been eating a lot of carbs. pretzels help. hamburger buns. and french fries. I'm getting sick of the above foods but they do make me feel better.

I am so miserable! With my 2nd and 3rd babies (both boys) I threw up all the time but I was still able to find things to eat and between barfing sessions I felt somewhat better. I am so miserable all the time right now but thankfully not actually throwing up. I just feel like I am just about to get sick all day long Everything smells/tastes disgusting and I keep feeling my stomach moving around. I'm wondering if I'm having a girl because I remember that sensation with my 1st pregnancy, but luckily it got better at the end of the 1st trimester.
