My son has a doctors appointment on friday, and his eczema is just out of control. Not only that but hes taken to screaming/screeching and Im worried he has some sort of food intolerance that is causing his eczema and the strange behavior. Im fully willing to admit that the screaming could just be a stage, but the eczema hasnt gone away at all!

How do i ask for an allergy blood test? I work at a med lab now so I know theres blood tests for every possible allergen out there but will i look like a weirdo if i tell them I want a food allergy panel done?

You won't look like a weirdo, but keep in mind that eczema can be caused by environmental or food allergies or food intolerances, so if you get a food allergy panel done, he could still have food intolerances. There are also food intolerance panels that are sometimes covered by insurance and have varying degrees of accuracy.
