Silly question, but...

Where do people get those cute little icons for their signatures? And where can I find out what some of the abbreviations used mean? Like "DH"...thanks!

Not in the DDC, but...

Go to the User Cp and on the left you will see an option for edit signature. That is where you will find the icons. I think you can have up to 8 icons and no more than two lines total in your signature.

Hi! And welcome! Those cute little icons for your siggy (or any post for that matter are on the right hand side of the text box when you're posting. There's a [more] button at the bottom that will pull up a new window with tons of smilies to pick from. Just click on the picture you want and the code will be insterted into the text. I think there's a limit on the number of smilies you can use until you have a certain number of posts though.

Abbreviations, there may be a sticky around somewhere that lists a bunch, but off the top of my head and relevant to this forum:

DH = Dear Husband (or D*&^ Husband, depending on context)
DD/DS = dear son or daughter
POAS = pee on a stick
TWW = two week wait
BFP/BFN = big fat positive/negative
AF = aunt flo = your period

You can edit your signature by going to the Quick Links tab at the top right of the page and select "edit signature"

I don't think it's a silly question. The abbreviations confused me for quite a while until I found that thread. Even after that, it seemed that everyone was speaking in code! Thank you fruitfulmomma and MyLittleWarrior for posting answers.

Right now I can only put one image in my signature...does it have to do with being new still? Thanks!

yep. As your number of posts grow, or you've been a member longer (not sure which), the number of images you can use increases.
