New Flats Washing

DO flats need washed 4-5 times before use? I can't seem to remember.

I think when we got ours to try, I only washed them a couple of times before using them.

I'd wash them once and call it good. Unless they are unbleached, in which case they'll have the oils that will need to be washed out. Since they are one layer, prepping is easier.
