Took Vincent to the pediatrician today for a check up. He checked out great. My pediatrician is a riot though. Apparently, Vince has a "longer than average penis." Average is 1 inch at this age (who knew? hahaha) and his is longer. He looked at my DH and said "of course, it skips a generation." DH and I are so tired, I swear we missed half his jokes today, but that one really had me laughing. It was such a fun appointment. Happy healthy baby and family and a great supportive pediatrician. I couldn't ask for more.

Vinnie is the only nickname I'm not too keen on. Mostly because my mom's best friend had a son named Vincenzo (went by Vinnie) that was sort of lecherous to me whenever he visited. Nothing horrid, but just kind of gross. Like he was a cute flirt as a kid, but got progressively pervy as an adult.

I like Vincent, Vince, and Vin just fine. But I know he'll get vinny sometimes, so we'll just deal

I kinda wondered if we were not allowed to use the name since we aren't Italian, but I love it so much, so screw it It very much suits him. I love strong boy names. IMO there are way too many cutesy surnames on boys right now. With Vincent, I figure you can have your intellectual name (Vincent) or your tough guy name (Vince). Gives the guy some options.... My brother has already nicknamed him "V Dub" (our last name starts with a W).

And I'm a big Entourage fan too....
