best fitteds under wool at night?

I'm trying to wean away from my BG at night.

I have a Crickett's dipe to use under my Aristocrat - I haven't been brave enough to try it at night, but I will take a deep breath and try it tonight.

What are other good fitteds to use at night under wool covers? Loveybums? Swaddlebees? Sugar Peas? Kissaluvs? Which are best? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed here

Will I need to include an extra doubler or insert for a 3-month old?

I am doing the same research...i was going to get a cricketts, very baby simply nights and a firefly to try.

I've heard good things about the cricketts - I bet that will work. I really like Sugar Peas myself, sometimes we use it as is at night, or if ds had a lot to drink, I'll add a doubler. (ds is 2)

I tried my Crickett's last night (with the snap-in soaker attached) and a fleece liner... under my Aristocrat.

My son soaked completely through his clothes... soaked. Not just damp. Soaked. Sheets and everything.

What did I do wrong?

He's only 3-months. Do I really need an extra doubler inside there? Not sure I could fit it, to be honest.

I've used Loveybums fitteds, swaddlebees fitteds and kissaluvs, and while I like them, they are not night worthy. I use sposies at night and my 3 month old leaks in those about 1/2 the time. It's tough to find something that works at this age (I'm assuming your LO nurses/eats a couple times a night).

You'll have the best luck going with a fitted made specifically for nighttime--very baby simply nights worked for us, but sposies are just my pick (I don't like fighting the nighttime bulk with pjs ).

Now I'm wondering - after my son leaked through the wool cover last night - if it makes sense to just use a BSWW or Thirsties cover over the fitted dipe.

I'm bummed, I thought wool would be a great nighttime option, but it seems we always get things so damp/wet when we try it.

I need sleep too badly to keep experimenting!

My kids can't sleep without being changed in the night until around 5 months, no matter what I do. He just might not be ready to go all night in it yet. I love my cricketts, but I like the toddler better than the infants. I love the bubu bebe one size fitted for all night, or piddle poddles. You may try to add an insert if he's leaking and you don't want to change in the night. The main reason I change in the night is because mine don't like the bulk of a diaper absorbent enough to last all night.

I LOVE Under the Nile fitteds with an Aristocrat at night; however, I wanted to buy a few more and found out that they are not currently available. Apparently they are re-working the design and won't have the new ones available until late summer or fall.

I agree with the PP who said that Swaddlebees and Kissaluvs are not night-worthy. IME Kissaluvs are barely day-worthy. I love my Swaddlebee fitteds for daytime though.

I'm thinking of trying a Little Beetles. Does anyone know if they are good for night-time?

I like firefly sleep tights for fitteds, but we mostly used FBs stuffed with a prefold and a hemp doubler. It was the only thing that got us through most nights.

Have you prewashed the Cricketts several times? Hemp needs to be broken in. You may need a doubler in there.

Also do you mean a microfleece liner? What kind of fleece are you using?

Yes, the Crickets has been pre-washed, and then I've used it several times as well.

I didn't think I'd need a doubler since it has the snap-in soaker. But I guess I do. Not sure how I'd fit that in there!

I was just using a stay-dry fleece liner I bought from one of the online stores... I layered on top of the soaker.

You could always put the doubler on the outside of the diaper, but inside the soaker. Not as handy, but same absorbency. I found most fitteds need an extra doubler for overnight, unless you change baby once in the night.

The only thing that has ever worked for us overnight are BedBugs fitteds from Holden's Landing on Hyenacart. Super absorbant and I don't find them too bulky either. I use it under a wool or fleece soaker and he never leaks, although he is very wet in the morning.

If the Aristocrats are soaking I wonder if it could be that it is not pulled up fully over the diaper- if there is any diaper peeking out they will leak, and otherwise if maybe it needs to be lanolinized. I think I remember washing with Eucalan to add lanolin and that kept them from leaking.
