Well, I believe my water has broken UPDATE birth story post 96

And now this.

Well, I think it's broken, but I can't think of anything else that could be going on. It's definitely not pee (clear, and no pee smell), and it gushing out of me to the point of soaking towels that I'm sitting on.

Interesting.

I'm still a little in denial.

I'm 36 weeks and 2 days, so this is a bit early, although not so early as to scare me too much...

Um, further updates as events warrant.

Woot! My midwife said any time after 36 weeks is okay! Hope your bean comes out quickly, without too much hassle and healthy! :

Wow, Kelly!! Didn't think you would be the next to go! I hope that your ctx start up and that you can avoid any interventions! Did you call your doc yet?
Some people "fudge" the amount of time their water is broken to buy more time.

Goodluck and breathe!!

I hope its not pee if you are soaking towels. Sending you some great labour vibes.

If you have time I would start looking up induction and proof about not inducing and length of time your water can be broken before induction. If that is something you feel strong about. It never hurts to be informed. It can give you something to focus on while waiting for labour to start. I only say this because my friends broke 3 weeks early and the hospital kept changing their policies based on staffing and rooms. They ended up waiting to induce her for 3 days she was fine and so was baby.

Good luck mama.

Yeah!

My m/w will comfortably assist a homebirth as of 36 weeks (that's me today, yeah!). She said that, while 37 is considered by the medical community as "full term" she feels like babies born any time after 36 weeks are usually just fine. Good luck!

Keep us posted on how everything goes!
