: Glad for you, Ilek!! :

Sending you peaceful labor vibes ~~:

Back from my little trip. Nothing new here despite a walk and spicy food. But it was a good day, almost warm enough for just a t-shirt. And LO seemed to enjoy it too; he was kicking and making this weird other movement for most of the day. Now I'm tired, and I'm going to crash soon.

Ilek, way to go! Good luck and let us know how it goes. :

Lindsay, glad to hear you managed to convince the midwife of your right to refuse u/s and your mom to stop calling you. I would go insane if my mom called all the time, but she thinks once a week is enough.

Murph, that is tempting fate. Having just travelled 2 hours south of here without anything happening, I can recommend taking chances. I did have DH with me, though.

Emma, what is EPO? Does it do anything?

BennyPai, sorry to hear about your labor stopping twice and about the baby being posterior. But that gives you the chance to turn it before the real action starts.

MelW, that's hilarious.

Went to the doc yesterday and FOUGHT with her on the refusal of the u/s and we WON!! She actually said "Ok then, I wont bring it up anymore" Heck yes!

She wanted to get an estimate of the weight (to "prevent shoulder dystocia") and I told her that the worst thing happened when I had a homebirth previously, the hb gave me the confidence to think that Im able to birth large babies. I told her that a 10 or 11lb-er doesnt scare me and it shouldnt scare her!!!

Im excited/jealous to hear about all these babies! Im 39wks on monday and going crazy. I actually told my mom to stop calling me, shes calling 3 times a day to see if Im in labor. She was NOT happy with me yesterday when I took some else on this boards advice and said "call me again and Ill put you on the BOTTOM of the list"

C'MON BABIES, GET OUT!!!!!
Good for you! I hear you on the mom issue, mine has been doing the same.

should i put Murphy's law into motion? I'd love to go into labor, bt driving 30 minutes in labor doesn't sound appealing

And dh doesn't want to go with and do something else while i'm at the meeting
I hope fate worked for you!

We went for a movie tonight and, while coming home, we saw an accident. I told Bryan to pull over to see if we could help and to call 911. I wanted to go nad see if everything was ok and the moment I stepped out of the car my water broke

No contractions yet though, so... Well, we'll see tomorrow
I'll keep you posted !

We drove to Target, apparently baby wasn't tempted by me being an hour from home.

we drove about 40 minutes away to go to a potluck dinner party thing on a farm. it did not tempt the baby to come, though we ran into quite a collection of people I had no idea would be there (a former student of mine, 3 fellow grad students I know who are in the cogsci department, someone who hired my husband to fabricate some stuff for a very fancy high school theater program, a woman who works at my son's school... weird!).

I caught my mom talking up the idea that I would have the baby in car ride home to another friend we met up with there. Um, no.

I'm tired!

EPO is evening primrose oil. I don't know. I'll try it I guess. At this stage in the game its going to be hard to tell if it "works"... I guess we can see if it doesn't work though...

Good night, good luck and it will be fun to enviously read all your birth announcement and birth stories.
