After seeing (or, rather, hearing) other kids yell "boobies!" in awkward public situations, I used the term "nurn" with my son from a very early age (I think I picked that up from an MDC thread actually,
) Anyway, taht was all find and good till DS was about a year old...then one day DH taught him to call it "nanu"...you know, like mork and mindy?
Well, DS uses both terms now, pretty interchangably... and not just for the actual milk... nurn/nanu= the milk, the act of suckling, and the breasts themselves. So he says things like "I love da nurn" or "two nanus!!" When he sees me changing he makes comments "I see da nanu!" and so on.
