When DS went in for his 2 month appointment, they told me he needed his vaccinations. I told them that I was thinking about getting them at the health department, and so I didn't want to get them there. It was true, sort of, because while I am thinking about not vaccinating him, if I was going to, I would have had to go to the health department, because they would have been free, and we didn't have money. But since I'm not going to vaccinate him (at least for now), do I need to tell them (DS' care provider) that I'm going to wait/not do it? When I brought up my concerns about the vaccines with him, he seemed rather dismissive, so should I just assume he wouldn't "let" me not vaccinate DS, and find another care provider? I guess my question is, basically, what do I need to do since I don't want to vaccinate DS?
Also, DD is 3, and has been vaccinated on schedule thus far. I don't think I want to continue (if there are any more she's "supposed" to have), and I know I don't want her to have the HPV or chicken pox vaccines. Are there any ramifications if she has had vaccines up until this point, and I just don't do anymore? I don't want to keep getting them for her knowing what I know, but I don't want anything to happen to her for only getting "part" of them.
