So I haven't been constipated this pregnancy and in fact had a BM this morning already... But usually when I get my period I get a day or so of pretty painful cramps that get especially bad before I use the toilette. So what is going on with my body right now! To add to the confusion, I just ran out of my regular vitamins and yesterday I took one with some iron in it (just 6 mg). Usually I take no iron (my levels are fine and it doesn't sit well with me). I am 37 weeks 2 days.

I had some contractions that felt like that last night and once last week. I was also a little gassy last week. I felt it in my low low back and it felt like I was constipated, though I wasn't really and haven't been at all during pg.
I actually felt some contractions for a few hours last night, very mild but was glad to see some action
.
Side question: I pushed on the lower side of my uterus and it was pretty tender...is that common during a contraction?

My uterus is very tender during and just after a ctx, Alicia.
I've been getting pms-y crampy off and on for awhile too,m blueRhino. I think it is just part of the "getting ready" stuff. Could be the iron, could be gas, could be your cervix. I have such a hard time interpreting signals from down that area anymore. I think the nerves are all too squashed together. LOL!

Yeah, I think things are moving forward for me but I have no idea if they're doing any work at all.

Ugh, I had wicked gas Saturday night. I was doubled over. I shouldn't have made bean burritos for lunch.
I have a hard time differentiating poo cramps from early labor cramps. It all kinda feels the same for a while till you start to really KNOW that you are having real ctx. Don't worry you will know!

That's good to know! Seriously, I have felt "constipated" for the last two weeks and today, it feels like I am completely backed up and I feel constantly crampy and or/gassy without being gassy, KWIM? I also have tender uterus feelings after an especially gassy?/contraction feeling. WTH?
I keep wanting to get "regular" (although technically I AM, but don't feel like it internally...) before labor so that I'm not all constipated and stuff AND in labor. BLEHHHH.
