I told my DD Dr that we were not going to continue her Vax in July (she is 9mo and has been completely vaxed as of date gosh she was a premie, low birth weight, early I didn't have time to look into it like I wanted to... and well felt scared though my Dr was telling me his "experience" not really saying I should/n't but you know how it is... ugh

Well we have a new Dr for DD due to distance and this new Dr gave me this

so I could read up on it. I am not sure if it was just something he felt I should have as a precaution or what.

Anyhow- I thought he was giving me info on different vaxes and such- my husband started reading it before I had a chance to and was like "what is this propeganda?"

Its like after looking at it- I am like how does this make me want to change my mind- in fact because of how dumbed down it is, it makes me want to stand by my decision even more....

Total propaganda. I don't quite understand how "they" think that after a parent reads hundreds of pages and spends hours and hours doing research that they can just give you a pamphlet and you will change your mind.

Wow. I had no idea that the statement that infants can handle "even more" vaccines at once has been justified by citing Tonegawa's Nobel prize winning work. He discovered how our body's B cells were able to create so many different antibodies given limited genetic material. But this discovery in no way, shape or form lends credibility to safety of vaccinations, one or many. This is a significant misuse of information.

ETA: Just because our body has the amazing ability to rearrange genetic material in a modular fashion in order to recognize just about any particle in the universe (even man-made synthetic ones!) does not prove anything about vaccinations. Now, what I wonder is -- did the people who wrote this really believe this crazy logic? Or did they just hope it sounded convincing?

I think it only works on the people who slighly question it. My ILs bring this kind of stuff to me all the time. They take this to the bank any day over the hours and pages of research I have done.

If it were me, the next time I'd see this doctor I'd tell him: "Thank you SO much for the vax info you gave me. I found it VERY helpful. Before I was still concidering some shots and after reading this I became SO confident in my decision to not vax"

when i look at pamphlets like this.... ugh if i said what i thought... i can't ... but paul PROFIT should be sent to an island that he can't return from... maybe one with an active volcano and no trees to climb..
