Aiden Jeffrey is here too

Our sweet little boy was born sunny side up Friday evening! Turns out those contractions were the real deal .

As expected (ABO incompatibility) he has jaundice and we're thankfully home with him on a bili blanket and attached to the boob 24/7. This is my first time out of the rocking chair I think- gonna take a sitz bath and grab a bite and maybe even a couple zzz...

Update: Sorry, delirious still. I forgot to add that Aiden was 8 lbs 4 oz and 22 inches tall. He is so cute and so good natured. His brother (who is almost 3) has been wonderful about everything, which was one of my major worries. His bili levels have gone down, so that is great; he's pooping like a champ. Milk is abundant now- the mother's milk tea helped I think plus baby latched on right away.

My birth experience was really good, everything wasn't exactly as I had "planned it" but I feel good about it this time around. I think it sort of healed the birth trauma of the first time. I stayed up for nearly 5 days straight after he was born and ran my immune system into the ground, so am trying to recover now and be a bit more sensible. Take care of yourselves ladies! I miss you and will post a birth story and catch up on all these new babies and events as soon as I can!
