Hey, I know you're around 'cause I've stalked you and seen you posting, but just want to check in on how you're doing! Hope that's not annoying.

How many days have you been walking around 5cm now???

LOL I feel like the least anticlimactic person ever....
I posted this on another thread today which is a brief and (of course) non-exciting update ever LOL.
I was asked if I had a baby yet... and my response was:

"no...dammit lol. And I SUFFERED THROUGH SEX TWICE yesterday! I did go see the OB this morning and still sitting at a "solid 5" and can "stretch a little further" (I have no clue what that meant) and almost all the way effaced. I continue to lose mucus plug and spot constantly and she said it's all completely normal. She said she felt like writing an article on me LOL.
She said once again that she will be shocked if I am pregnant next week....same ole same ole.
She did invite me to be her "example" in her 6 year old's kindergarden class this Thursday. I guess it's Bring your parent to school day and she's going to show the little one's how to hear a heart beat and measure a belly and then show ultrasound pics. I figured if I said yes, then that would seal the deal for me to go into labor before then... so I said yes!"

Does anyone watch family guy? There was an episode where Peter goes and sees and ex-girlfriend and she is standing on the porch with a toddler in her arms...in the middle of talking to Peter, a baby just falls out of her LMAO...it's so funny and crude at the same time, but I feel like that is going to be me. I swear with all this preterm worry, I am going to be the last one pregnant here.

Oh and walking around at 5 cm for about a week or two. There is a thread on birth professionals that concerns how dilated you can be before going into active labor....THAT thread has dimmed any hope that I have had LOL!!

Oh, jeliphish, there is one good thing - you're keeping the rest of us entertained with your sense of humour!

I bet the doc invited you to that just for that reason - she figured if she booked you for something, then you'd go into labour!

eta: I hope at least your DH is enjoying all the ACTION!

I'm curious to see how long your labor goes once it actually gets started 'for real'.

I'm getting so excited and anxious for you! Can't believe how long you've been going around at 5cm... I have no clue if I'm dilated in any way, shape or form, but still, seems like forever since your first post about this. Certainly for you as well, I'm sure!

You must be going crazy! Are you having a lot of contractions? How close are you to the hospital, or are you expecting it to fall out on your porch on the way out the door?

My new prediction is she will go to sleep, and then wake up with a baby in the bed.

I predict one labor pain, then Jeli coughs and the baby emerges. No pushing needed.

(Gah, I hope we aren't jinxing you!!!)

Well, for all 4 pregnancies, my sister was dilated to 8 cm by 40 weeks, and never experienced contractions up to that point. The OB would simply break her water on her due date, contractions would start and her baby would be born 45 minutes later. Talk about a dream labour.
