I have gdiapers cover and have put hemp and the swaddlebees inside them. And they leak after about an hour. What am I doing wrong? Can you please give me some reco. for ones that she wear when she sleeps for 3 hours or longer? I really want to use cloth but can't justify it when she goes through 3 or 4 onsies and pants a day.

Here are my thoughts...
-All diapers leak
(But after an hour...that is no good!)
-Not using onesies helps because they get caught up in the leg hole area and get wet, tees or dresses work a bit better.
-Covers that are too big leak mainly around the legs.
-Leaking up front or in back (from pee) is because you need more absorbent inserts/diapers.
-I usually use 2 inserts during the day and at naps or a prefold and doubler at night.
-Gdiaper covers leak because you and only stuff them so much before the cotton outer cover gets wet and wicks the moisture.
-I have the best luck with homemade fleece soakers and longies (best for prefolds or fitteds) or Bummis brights.

For overnight I use pockets (usually happy heiny solids) stuffed with hemp or hemp and micro fiber and they DON'T leak.
Day time I use LHC solid color AIOs. And they almost NEVER leak (less than once every 2 months) www.lucyshopechest.com

we found the gdiapers not to be the best for overnights, so we use a pocket dipe stuffed to the gills.
For daytimes we stuff the g covers with a prefold. Hemp doesn't absorb as fast as other materials so it could be that you have some 'loose' liquid in the liner that doesn't absorb so it wicks out the sides. Also if whatever you stuff it with is too thin it can move around in the liner and not absorb at all, that's what the flushies did when we used them.
This may sound like a really stupid question so please don't think me unkind, but I have to ask -- are you using the nylon snap in liner with the gdiaper cover? That part is essential and without it you would get some pretty quick wetness and I can imagine it would be frustrating!
Also, for us, cloth had a pretty big learning curve. It took us a couple days to even figure out a routine, not to mention get the leaks under control, have confidence, it will work out!!
Also if your onesies are a pain and you don't have just plain t shirts you can cut off the 'tails' and get a tshirt.

I would suggest new covers. Your diapers sound fine.
I specifically used Nikky Poly covers at night becasue they were the only cover that did not leak for me -------- all night.
it seems there are some who have great luck with the g-covers and others have leak issues. they may not be the right fit for your child.

I've known a few to have great luck with using a Thirsties AIO with a SuperDo insert for overnight, and the Thirsties has done great during the day. I've never used the GDiapers so I'm not too familiar with them.
Does she wet a lot where she needs more absorbancy or is it leaking out the side somehow?
