I have a question about a smilie

I have had some questions about this smilie

hale:

When it was being added there was the impression that it was related to environmental issues and also for promotion of awareness of HIV/AIDS. Now it appears that saying is also attached to a different movement.

I was wondering about member impressions of this particular smilie and if it does seem that it is related to anything other than environmental or HIV/AIDs.

I thought it was a funny, nothing serious. I had no idea it was for HIV/AIDS at all. I don't follow threads on smilies though so maybe I missed it but that seems a bit far fetched. Maybe environmentalism but really I just thought it was meant as a joke....sorta like the throwing tomatoes one.

Whilst it looks at first sight like a Douglas Adams reference (which would be very cool) I believe it's pro-life, anti-abortion. Sorry, I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for

That was always my impression of it. I can be kind of clueless though.

At first that's what I thought, but then I saw it being used along with white ribbons so now I think it is being used as a pro-life smilie.
