I was dismissed 5 years ago and have had an ND ever since. I don't look back, I am much happier not shoving toxic pills down the throats of my children whenever they are hurt or sick. Unfortunately the insurance doesn't cover it.. but oh well.

She didn't follow any of the "rules", although I'm not sure how set in stone they are. I am considering filing a complaint with the medical board over the way she handled it. And I do feel bullied -it's very frustrating.
I hope you do file a complaint. I wish the bullying doctors would allow parents to make their own choices for their children without trying to stick stuff down our throats. I hope the kids weren't heavily traumatized.

I hope our good one doesn't change anytime soon because DH and I are sticking to our guns about what we want and don't want DD to have.

Dolphin,
I see you are in Texas. I am curious if you happen to be in the same area I am in and saw the same doctor. If you are in Austin area and saw Dr. Eady, will you let me know (you can PM me). I hear she is now firing patients which saddens me.

So sorry this happened to you and wish you luck on finding a physician you can trust.

I'm sorry this happened to you, and I agree with those posters who suggest that you are better off. I did want to comment on this part of your post and recmmend making sure that you let your network know of this change in this docter's policy. I would not malign/slander her, but it is important for other people to know (especially if they are her patients) that she appears to no longer accepts deviation from mainstream. This docter may be planning to off patients left and right and maybe saying something will prepare others for the eventual ax they may get.

Yes, I think you're right - I sure wish someone had warned me! It had been a long week of taking care of a sick kiddo only to get slapped in the face with that. I have actually connected with several other moms this past week and we have discussed what happened, and apparently I'm not the first that she has done this to recently. I think word is getting out...and honestly I don't know what people did before the internet! I would be lost!
