Cheap ways to deal with wool eaters?

Someone is eating little holes in all my wool things, and I do love wool. I never see moths, or any critters except spiders, but the holes are happening fast and furious.
Are there any inexpensive and safe ways to discourage these snackers? I can't afford to line my closet in cedar, and moth balls are not an option for us.
Thanks!

Not that I've ever tried but, for what it's worth, you can buy hamster bedding (which is generally cedar chips) and put it in your drawers, or wherever else your stuff gets eaten. Generally bugs (moths etc.) are repelled by lavender too. You could make little satchels of cedar and lavender...

put them in your freezer? I think that should kill them...try 24 hours.

Thanks - I'm making space in my freezer right now! Afraid cedar won't be lasting, and I can't stand the smell for long....
