I'm talking legalities here at all, I'm just wondering if it's safe from a virus/personal information point of view. Thanks!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I used it for years, dating back to dial up days, without a problem.
What I would reccomend is making sure that you have a good anti-virus program and running ad-aware regularly. Ad-aware is the best thing ever.
Also, don't download anything that doesn't have lots of sources. If lots of people kept is and are sharing it, your odds are better of getting a good copy. If the copy's bad then most people will delete it and not share.
I stopped using it when I discovered Pirate Bay because it has whole CDs. I've heard good things about Frostwire, too, though I've never used it myself.
