Can you buy Applix at Joanne's Fabric store?:

Probably not. Joanns and places like that usually only carry Velcro.
I have ordered from www.sewshoppe.com many times. It is quite a bit of a savings for me. Converted to CDN $$, the Aplix costs me $1.25/yd compared to $3.99/yd for Velcro brand at the local fabric store.
Velcro tends to be crunchier, and not last as long. Of course, if you must purchase Locally, it is probably the best you can do.
