Not to mention "poo-covered".

Remind me of this when I complain about the 6 months' of snow a year we get here. The cold climate does not welcome big, galloping spiders.

Now let's not exaggerate... they don't really gallop.. it's more of an 'I own the place' kinda saunter

Yeah, and then they look at you with ten threatening, beady eyes as if they are saying "Why are you in my house? I shall find a way to KILL you...slowly."

*hides from the spider anti discrimination league*

Oh God I'm going to have nightmares tonight... *shiver*

Next time spray a whole can of spider-killing bug spray on a whole bag of cotton balls and suck them up. That's what I do after vacuuming when I know there are fleas on my furniture/in my carpet.

Don't be so sure. We have 6-7 months of snow and winter here and we have some of the largest prehistoric wolf spiders in our house. Luckily, our cats eat them: They do leave little piles of legs after the kill.

Yeah. Apparently the dry, dusty, crunchy consistency is not to our cats' liking:

K, I am a total arachnophobe, so my reaction to this thread is to call and torture my arachnophobic mother by reading this to her. It's the only thing that will get rid of the eeby jeeby feeling I have now.

I've been known to call various family members to come and kill said spider for me. And if I ever had the nerve to suck one up in the vacuum, it would be outside waiting for DH. But now, after reading this, I'll be searching the ceiling and scratching all day...
