Never started a check in before!
It's getting hard to walk around with how big I've gotten. I've just had it with being pregnant. Getting up to go pee all night is so bad and painful.
Today is the ultrasound and another nst. I'm excited to finally see my baby, even if it is on a screeen instead of in person, like I thought I'd be doing by now.
I was laying in bed realizing last night that I'll definitly have a baby in only 5 days. (I guess or less, but not holdng out much hope for him coming before the induction).
I really need to try to walk and do some other things I've tried before this weekend. I'm so tired I really don't want to do anything. But if something works to get labor started rather than her breaking my water and then pitocin if nothing happens...yea I'd much rather have it start a litle more naturally.
My 3 year old has been going through her I'm so cute and I'm such a little devil stages in like 2 second flat recently. I'm so not in the mood for the devil stage right now. I pretty much check out of everything once dh walks in the door. He asked if I was going to make dinner last night and I said only if I weren't pregnant anymore. He knew well enough to just go make us dinner and not complain or make a stupid joke or anything of the sort.

Yup, still pregnant here too. I posted the Henna Pictures on the Belly thread in the stickies. Hope you all like them.
I'm so shy. I'll find some of my face in it and post it too. I'm just so insecure about my image, sorry.
Murph, can't wait to hear how your appointment with the ultrasound and nst went. Hope all goes well. I hear ya on how hard it is to walk! I feel and walk like a duck! Try really hard not too and it looks even funnier! You lucked out on the devil stage at 3, my two yr old has his meltdowns on the clock at 7 in the evening. Once he starts screaming.... Its hell trying to calm him down. A definate labor staller!
Peony, I'm sorry you're so sore.
I hope you get some rest today. Resting, is most definately on the top of my priority list today! Should be cleaning but screw it! Not gonna clean! Going to rest!!!
FischK, good for you for sleeping well last night! I'm jealous!!! Hope you're able to get lots done in the office today.

fruitful- AWESOME pics!!! I love the design.
I got a little excited at 3am this morning. I woke up with a few contractions, which is exactly how my last two labors have started but after an hour I was back asleep.
A friend of mine is due exactly 7 days after me, I'm taking some joy in the fact that as of last night, she was still pg as well.

DD did okay yesterday with her fever. We just watched videos and cuddled on the sofa all day. Thankfully she didn't have any other symptoms. She woke this morning with no fever and very hungry/thirsty. So hope after good breakfast and resting this morning she'll be good to go outside this afternoon. It's going to be almost 80 here!!! Yeah!!!!
:
Glad baby decided to stay in last night I can't imagine leaving DD sick, but I know my mom would do fine with her. LO moves sooo much latly. I'm surprised she has any room!!
Had a very weird dream last night, the first one about LO. I had LO and was home. LO was 8lb 10oz and looked like a 4 month old. As I was nursing LO I realized it was a BOY! I hadn't realized before I guess as LO is supposed to be girl via two U/S. Sooo weired, seemed so real!
Murph: funny start! Yup still pregnant here!
Peony: Sorry not getting much relif at night...I on the otherhand am feeling fine, which makes me wonder if this little one is ever going to come. I just can't imagine feeling fine one moment and then labor starting the next, so unlike my last labor!
Fruitful: cute pics! don't worry about showing your face...I had a hard time putting pics of our faces online, I worry bout security issues, but wanted to share our prenatal pics.
FischK: glad you slept well!

Thanks for the compliments on the Henna pictures. We (myself and Karen) came up with an entirely new design on our own. She has never done a layer effect before. I was happy to be the first. Its still drying and has medical tape all over the angel spirit design (looks like a fertility Goddess, yeah/no?). Once it cakes (tomorrow evening) I'll remove the tape and apply olive oil on it to remove the Henna, only leaving behind the stain it created. I'll take more pics of it then.
So, here are pics of my face...
and one of the prenatal in home visit, the other lady is her apprentence and childbirth educator.
I've managed to get a really good deal through our insurance. We only paid 300 out of pocket for the Midwife. My husband was adamant to have a back up. I just hope everything still goes well, that I'm still able to do this UC with her as a back up. It sounds challenging because well, I can't explain it...

Still pregnant here too!
Murph - Is this the absolute first u/s youve had this whole pregnancy? Are they doing it just for size, or fluid too? I understand you not wanting to know the weight, the margin for error is so large!! I hope everything goes well on the nst and u/s, Ill keep my fingers crossed lo chooses to come naturally!!
and hugs for the cute devil thing, that was a tough age for me and dd1.
Peony - can you take a tylonol at night? I would suggest a hot bath, but I cant make it in and out of the tub anymore, and Im thinking MOST women at this stage cant either!
Lets hope htose pains come again and STAY!
Fisch - still working?! Youre a warrior!!! Do you plan on staying home for a while after the baby is born or are you going back to work?
Fruitful - of all the things we have talked about over the last year almost, there is NO reason to be secure about your image!!! And Ive been calling my walk the Emperor Penguin walk, this baby wont have far to travel when Im ready to push she is down in between my legs!
Oh and I just saw your pics at the bottom of the post, why the heck would you be shy?! Gorgeous!!!
And is that your bed youre on?! Holy smokes, its beautiful!!
Shine - I know the body fights off viruses with fever, so maybe it was a preemptive strike! There was a little bug in her and the body took care of it!!
: And as for the dream, lets remember that weight and see if she (or he!
) comes close!!!
Anyone read anything good or see a good movie lately? My mws recommended I do SOMETHING besides talk and obsess about the baby because Ive been getting really anxious.! Im halfway through Protecting the Gift book and its pretty good, although Im dying to read the new Stephanie Meyer book, the Host, but Im saving it for the hospital and after.
Wait, wait, wait...emma hasnt posted yet today!!!! Should I put one of these on here?

Talking about good books, I picked up the Kite Runner yesterday. I hear it's excellent and I'm probably reading it in the hospital.

ack, no, still preggers. Just tired and I went outside for most of the morning. I agree with all of you who say that nighttime isn't so restful anymore. DH was so tired he fell asleep in his work clothes (gross! he works in a theatrical prop shop, so he's definitely in the "shower after work" category!) At least he was on top of the covers! This morning I tidied up the bedroom and put away laundry (just in case, right?). I spent over 2 hours gardening , cleaned out a ton of crap that had been piling up in there, put in plants (not all of the ones waiting to go in, but many of them), pulled up some dead stuff, harvested, weeded. Does that count for nesting?? Partly it took so long b/c I move so darn slow! My back is not loving me right now even though I did a prenatal yoga DVD before going out, hoping to forestall problems. I think my son spent a good amount of that time basically lying face-down in the dirt. He is very, very dirty now, but that is usually a good sign as far as he is concerned.
Going to take a nap with DS and then the only thing I really want to get accomplished workwise is to stop by the university library before or after his swim class and pick up some books on hold.
we'll see, if I feel revived after dinner I'll see if DH wants to have a neighborhood walk with me, I do want to keep encouraging baby to come on out.

I just woke up from a nap, I'm stuck in a vicious napping cycle. I'm so tired during the day that I often need to nap especially when I start thinking what about if I were to go into labor that night, but then because I napped, I don't sleep that well at night, repeat!
fruitful- you don't need to be shy about sharing your pic, you look amazing! It's nice to meet another UC minded mama on this DDC, I also have a backup MW because of DH. I UPed this whole pg, we are paying her just to be around just in case.

I have decided that this baby is a boy. It's taking a freaking year to mature and get the heck out.

And Emma, there are so few of us left now days, whenever someone doesn't check in, I instantly think they have had the baby.
I'm trying to gather to energy to get off the couch, I have to leave in 20 minutes to take Madeline to gymnastics. Children need snacks and leotards but that involves moving. Sigh.

oh yeah and i think i look like a whale...I was asked 3 times while out when i'm due...i replied I was due on the 18th. Then their jaws all dropped to the floor. One lady said, oh you don;t seem to be in that much trouble getting around and everything... I guess it would have been bad had I smacked her seeing as I was at a church garage sale and all....

Having these very, very intermittent but rather painful contractions... hmm. Don't even want to say anything to my mom b/c she's beside herself wanting me to have the baby. It *would* be a good night to have baby (or tomorrow AM....) DH could take tomorrow off work and then have the weekend at home before he has to go back. It definitely sorta sucks to have gotten a new job this week! But it is silly to complain since of course it was a huge stress to have him unemployed.

eh nothing too new to report.
Ultrasound went just fine - they just checked how much fluid, and he's still good, though he's pretty scrunched in there. Non stress test was also fine. |

Yeah, I know the feeling except its for swimming. UGH. I already bribed DS by telling him he could have a lollipop on the bus ride so that he would stop whining that he doesn't want to go (he's sleeping, and he fussed so much about taking a nap that now its late, and he'll fuss again when I wake him and he's tired). I never bribe with food- especially not candy!! I think I will have to bribe MYSELF with some sort of treat to get moving.

I got our new parks and rec calender in the mail today. Usually they put one out for summer, then fall, and winter/spring. This is where we take all gymnastics classes, swimming, etc... you have to sign up right when it comes out to get classes. They combined the summer and fall brochures this year, so now I'll have to sign up next week for all classes through the rest of the year or risk not getting into anything if I wait.
: I have no idea what I would want our schedule to be like next fall, I was looking forward to having the summer to figure things out with 3 kiddos before having to schedule our life away. All my energy has been zapped. I'm so hungry but I seriously don't even have it in me to get up and get food. I tried bribing the 6y to get me something but wasn't successful.
