Loosing Plug, Signs of baby comming soon? UPDATE

Wow, sorry for such a late update! Its so hard to find time.

Maya Carmen was born on Friday the 24th at 7pm. It was a perfect delivery!! Active labor/transition came and went supper fast and by the time I got to the hospital fully dilated and pushing. About 30 min later and maybe 6 good pushes she was out and all of the hospital staff were freaking out that we did all the labor at home and that she came so easy. My midwife was amazing!!

She is beautiful and now we are trying to figure out all her needs ect. Hopefully. Ill have time to give a better birth story later. Take care everyone and good luck!!

Last night I started having bloody show. Not a lot, and its continuing through out today. Im also having heavy period-like cramping. They started sort of continual but now come and go, making them seem more like HB contractions but with cramping.

MW says sounds like early-labor symptoms. So I wonder how long it will be. Im due 2 weeks from today so it could still be two weeks... or maybe sooner??

Am I going to just feel like Im getting my period for the next two weeks? At least this probably means she will not be late, which is what I was dreading.

Anyone else having bloody show?

My guess is it would be less than two weeks but not necessarily in the next few days. It's possible though.

Yay for bloody show!! I've been looking for that as well. Have been having some serious period like cramps for the last couple weeks.

Hope it means somethings happening for you! Maybe you'll be next!

How exciting! Could be soon. I've started having period cramps for the past two days, but I have FORBIDDEN this baby from coming before Sunday. (like any of us has a say so, right?)

Exciting! Sounds like things are getting ready! I think those period-y cramps can be a sign that you're effacing.
And my MW yesterday said losing a mucus plug or having bloody show can indicate that labor may be on it's way in about three days...I'm not sure where she got the 3, since I've heard everything from a few hours to two weeks...but...I'd say it probably means you're looking at less than two weeks. ;-)
I've been having little cramps here and there...yesterday and the day before they were just enough to make me feel like I needed to move around (I was doing hula hoop type movements w/out the hoop ;-) felt great!). They're gone now...and without any kind of mucus plug or bloody show (and the fact that my normal nightly BH's have all but disappeared)...I think I'm going to be pregnant at least a week past my due date. ;-)

Loss of the mucus plug/bloody show coupled with the kind of cramps you describe sounds like early labor to me, I wouldn't be surprised if you hit full blown labor in the next 24 hours. Don't hate me if my prediction is wrong though

My first babe, I had period-like cramps all day, first sign of bloody shoe & mucous around 5pm, baby born before 2am...but everyone is different!

Update: I guess it does mean baby is coming soon for me!

My water broke at 2am and have been having contractions 10min apart or so since then. Tried to get some sleep but no success. Contractions hurt a lot in my bum. I guess well have the doula come when they get a little stronger. Now we just need to figure out how to get a car seat!! Had not done that yet.
