The Flu can kill unvaccinated children - Page 2

My son and I both had the flu this year. He vomited and ran really high fevers. I had really high fevers and wished I would die. But ya know what? We got over it. I got to spend several precious days in bed with my baby who isn't such a baby anymore. I drank herbal tea and water, he nursed like a fiend and we came through it just fine. Neither one of us got the shot.

The flu can kill vaccinated children also. Of course, you never hear those stories...

My mother gets a flu shot every year, and every year she gets the flu.

Great point. I've never had the flu shot and refuse to get one. Everyone I know who gets a flu shot is always sick, sick, sick. I know a few people who allowed their kids to get the flu shot and the poor babies were rushed to the emergency room.

According to Dr. Miller, Vitamin D is better than a flu shot.

The Value of Flu Shots...

Good article on the absurdity of them.

It's far more of a public health crisis than vaccination rates. A skeptic will tell you breastfeeding won't protect the child... BTDT

The ONLY year I got the flu shot I got Epstein Barr... THAT was fun. I was twice as sick for twice as long. Looking back, I'd rather have gotten the flu!

Here are the stats, straight from CDC, for this flu season. Published 4/4/09:

source: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5814a4.htm

Quote:
"Since September 28, 2008, CDC has received 45 reports of influenza-associated pediatric deaths that occurred during the current season."
If you read along after the above sentence at the site, you'll see that 12 of the kids were coinfected with other diseases, most of them Staph. Several of those were antibiotic resistant Staph.

Quote:
Of the 36 decedents aged >6 months for whom patient vaccination status was known, five (13.9%) had been vaccinated against influenza according to 2008 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations (5).
Do the math. It comes to a minimum 11% of the deaths occurring (5 of 45 total) in vaccinated children. Depending on the status of the 9 kids whose status is unknown it could be as high as 31%.

Ah, ah, ah! Correction: You're supposed to call them "flu-like symptoms."

Yeesh! What are we going to do with you parents who won't believe what They tell you?

Of course. Because we all know you can't possibly have anything you've been vaccinated against.

If I hear "educated soccer mom's" one more time I'm going to barf.

This was in my local paper and I was nauseated by the "educated soccer mom" comment as well. I almost attended the vax symposium she spoke at because I was curious as to what crap they were spouting to professionals and parents but was unable to secure child care. Plus, I wanted to attend as a "professional" and not reveal my true, "educated soccer mom" identity. :

I will be watching the editorial section for your letter, too.

Sounds to me like a cover-up. Something happened on the operating table, and they felt blaming the death on the flu would cover their butts. Sounds like they didn't do a good job of weighing the benefits/ vs risks of surgery to me.

Regarding the flu shot, the very fact they are recommending this shot to everyone now, is absurd. It does make me question the necessity of ANY vaccines at all- for anything. That is how absurd I think it is.

I've never had a flu shot, never will, neither will my child. I grew up with occasional episodes of the flu like every child did - muscle aches, fever, vomiting for a day or two. We called it the 24 hr flu most of the time. Maybe once every year or so - I can't really remember how often. Haven't had any flu as an adult that I remember, for the past 20 years, or if I did, it must have been so mild I mistaken it for a cold maybe. Ridiculous this flu shots universally recommended for everyone. Ignorance.

The reason the body empties the stomach when certain illness occurs, is that it is clearing the decks to allow for all healing forces to converge on the task at hand.

In other words, if the body needs to put resources towards digestion, which takes up A TON of energy and resources, or towards processing and excretion, then there are precious few left to fight the onslaught of the particular viral or bacterial attack.

Thus, the body clears out the digestion functions, i.e., you have an emergency evacuation of stomach and bowels. Then fever heats up so that the body can ramp up the attack on the intruder. There you have the 3 top flu symptoms, fever, vomiting and
diarrhea.

Then along comes modern medicine... first they give you something to stop the 3 symptoms, then they tell you to stay in bed. Only now you have taken your body's defense system and basically shut it down. Now the virus or bacteria can get a nice strong hold on you, and in the case of viruses, can mutate.

If Big pharma would be paid more money to let nature take it's course, vs how much they earn by selling snake oil, guess how fast they would let you sweat and shiver?
