One of my cats has been coughing, mostly at night. It sounds kinda phlegmy, and he is nearly ten years old. None of my other cats are sick... anyone ever heard of this?

My first cat was a pound kitty and had caught a cold in the pound, which showed up a few days after I brought him home. He just had to get over it on his own, but while he was sick he was very congested and sneezed a lot. He actually had little snot-bubbles coming out his nose, the poor guy. He got over it in about 5-7 days, if I remember right. If your kitty is sick longer than that or if his breathing seems labored, you should probably take him to the vet.
