Anyone know of a free baby bonnet pattern, the old fashioned kind, not with a huge hood, just the simple sweet ones for newbies?

I just saw a book in the library that was something like "classic childrens clothing" and had a few different bonnet patterns--one that looked really easy.
Sorry I didn't think to pay more attention to the title for you. I didn't check it out because I need a sewing machine first! But I plan to go back for it once I'm sewing as it had really charming classic kids clothes, which I love. I totally want to make my daughter some pinafores

I don't have one. ( a pattern that is)
My MIL made me bonnets for my baby. She made up a pattern. I asked for some sort of (I don't sew so please excuse my lack of sewing languae) of ribbon to be sew inside that then would cinch around her head after I tied it under her chin. It really does give quite a "angel" effect.
The ribbon came out after a bit of too much tugging so I inserted one of her baby head bands (the satin elastic kind) I clipped the headband, put in through the insert then sewed then ends togehter again. The bonnets stays on so nice and the satin ribbon doesn't irritate her chin (or under her chin I must say.). I hope that makes sense.
