Fri, Sat, and Sunday chat - Page 4

I just have a quick moment to post. Taking a small break from cleaning then back to work I go. Yesterday I slept all day! I was so depressed. Today I took a long nap too. Now, I'm finanally getting emotionally back together and trying to get this house in order! YAY!

SHINE! That is FANTASTIC NEWS!!! I will be praying for you!!!

Shine-hope you have an easy labor!

Hooray Shine! I'm glad you can relax...here's a little love and some vibes : : : : : :

Yikes!!!Alligators! Could not easily hang with them, personally. I didn't know that they were as far north as NC. I only ever imagine them in the Everglades...

Drinking extra potent tea before bed...will surely have to pee several times, tonight...

Go Shine!

I too am loading up on the RRL tea... will drink some big cups before bed... always have to pee all night anyway so whats the harm... and I wish I could discover a secret forest pathway but I have pounded the pavement in my so-cal over-developed car-land neighborhood for 4 years now and I don't think there are any secret walkways left to find.

And, haha, I have big huge stacks of serious research-related books and articles to read, but have been not so inspired in that regard. Sigh. I'll take the one that has to go back to the library asap with me tomorrow and read at a coffee shop while DS is in school, try to finish it.

Its been months since I read anything for fun! I'm trying to stay in a good mindset for labor and read some of Ina May before bed to 'get into the mood'.

Thanks guys for the encouraging bfing stories!!! Im sure itll be better this time, but still worried. I have a great LC set up (recommend by my mws!) and the hospital Im giving birth at is the best around and has an amazing LC dept on call.

fisch - The baby will definitely go to the NICU right off (if she is pink when shes born, she stays with me for about an hour til she goes) and have an echo of her heart and given prostoglandins and monitored. It REALLY sucks but knowing that she has breast milk and the best docs really helps!!!

emma - I seriously feel so grateful that I got this breast milk. The LC Ive been talking to said she has several clients that want to donate but cant find donors or a milk bank. She is seriously an amazing person and you are too for even thinking of donating. The feelings I have about BM donors are really indescribable.

shine - YES YES YES YES!!!!!!: Speedy labor!!!

nolansmum - Welcome! Be jealous with us!!! I love all the Ina May book, they are so encouraging!

fruitful - you and I are the same, yesterday was bad and emotional, today is a cleaning, head clearing day! We did it! Overcame that horrible crappiness!

russianthistle - any special tea? RRL? Should I be drinking that now? Im 40 wks on tuesday!

Off to lay in bed. After the 5 hrs of horrible sleep, a long bike ride, tons of chores, and clean sheets, Im thinking I might have the perfect combo for a good nights sleep!

I hope you're all resting well. Hats off to those still waiting. You are much stronger than I am. I see it as though I was very lucky to have broken water first, but also I worried nothing would continue once that happened. It was not my expectation to go from A to Z like that all at once.

I'm also glad I didn't try those "home remedies" to start things. That would have frustrated me more.

Have faith!

Very achey contractions started around 4:30 this AM. Back ache, too. Could it be? DP checked me half an hour ago and it felt to him like I am more dilated, cervix is much easier to reach, and he thought he felt a bulging sac ...

Send me labor vibes, Mamas! ::
MIL is leaving for Maine this time tomorrow and I think it would be great if she could meet her grandchild before June. (It would be her own fault because I recommended the first week of May, but still I would feel very bad. )

Benny, here's to you!

: : : : : :

Lindsey: I'd be drinking the RRL if I was you! Indeed! I drink a mixture (a recipe from the Aviva Romm preg. book): of RRL, Nettle, Alfalfa, Oatstraw, and Red Clover. Sometimes, I just drink a combo of RRL, Nettle, and Alfalfa.

I'm not into using the "home remedies" other than the pregnancy tea (it's strengthening and provides MANY nutrients that I feel I need), regular walking, sex, and, lately, pineapple. I tried the Black Cohosh homeopathics (and some others...) last time and still went two weeks over. We'll see this time!

I wish it would stop raining here! It's not nearly as joyous walking in a cold rain! I need to get a good, long, hard walk in today.
