baking soda bath

I want to do the baking soda bath for my 2 yr old, the tip of his penis is red. How much baking soda do I put in?

I fill the tub to just below the waist for my 3yr old,then add about 4 Tablespoons of baking soda. Hope this helps!

hmmmm. The tip of my LO's penis is also red. I thought it was due to being squished into a diaper?! Should I give him a baking soda bath also? What is the cause of this, and how urgent is it?

Not urgent, just normal development, or diaper rash, or he scratched it. Baking soda baths tend to soothe things but don't need to do it. Foreskin is just like any other body part. It reacts to stuff and if there is any minor trauma it gets reddish or inflamed.
