Breech Baby Turned!

Yay! I was starting to get very worried that this little guy would be stubborn and stay breech, but over the last two weeks, he went from breech to transverse to head down. My obgyn did an internal at my appointment this week and was surprised to feel his head. My ultrasound today confirmed it. So now, we can just look forward to a normal birth and recovery. Yay!

The other good news is that they had seen a bright spot on his heart at 18 weeks that was a soft marker for Down's Syndrome. No sign of it today. Just healthy, happy baby who is on track to be about DS1's size (8lbs, 13 oz) or a little smaller.

Now it's time for Labor Watch 2009!

Awesome!! Did you have a vaginal birth with your first? I'm sure you're relieved that you can move ahead with a non-surgical birth!

Yup, I had a vaginal birth with DS1 and was really worried about having surgery. I feel so much more confident now with this news. I can draw on my first birth for strength and experience.
