At 11:30pm baby boy Oliver decided to come into the world.
I was having contractions at home starting at 7:30 - and did not believe it was the real thing. After ignoring them for an hour I called the midwife who said to go get checked out if I wanted to. I was stil worried it wasn't the real thing, but came in anyways. We got to the hospital at 9pm - I was 6-7 cm dialated - definitly the real thing.
Was monitored for a while - worst part was darn hep lock - after 5 times finally it went in. My veins kept rolling on them. I was scrfeaming louder in pain from that than anytime during childbirth. I was even in tears and the one girl gave up after 3 attempts and let another nurse try. It was horrid!
Labored in tub for a while, back to bed on all fours , on side, on other side...pushed a short time and my chunky monkey was out
All natural, 9lbs!!!, 21 inches, 4 hours total labor - arrived 5 days after due date

). I must have seemed so weird, but once it was in, I was very protective of it.

I'm so sensitive in general, couldn't imagine that during labor.
