Would you consider TF diet for healing cancer?

I have a friend that was diagnosed with cancer. It was found many places including her lymph nodes. She has been on a special diet and taking many herbs from a naturopath instead of going the radiation route. She was very overweight and lost 60 lbs on this new diet. Recently she broke a bone, and had to go to the doctors. She was informed that her cancer is getting worse and has spread to her bones.
I thought I would find out her diet because it obviously isn't working. She is on a vegan diet, (and she could be eating loads of soy, who knows). The reason her naturopath put her on a vegan diet is because she said that "when someone has cancer, they need to be cleansing, not digesting."
But she broke a bone, and the cancer is in her bones. She needs nourishment.

I want to help her since she has young children and needs to be around to mother them.

What is your thoughts on the bold statement?

I as a newbie would say deffinitely! And I would disagree with that naturopath- vegan does not necessarily equal cleansing. I was eating more crap than ever when I was a vegetarian.

Cleanse with whole and nourishing food, for sure! I'm off to find a youtube clip I just watched on healing lymphnodes.....

broken bones and lymphs (houndstongue, externally for bones and Goose Grass/Clever for lymphs): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r43pO67Xa4

I was also just reading about the body's pH whish is supposed to be around 7.5, most people with cancer are more at a 4.0 which is very acidic. There are many sites that talk about making the body more alkaline.

I think it's time for a new more TF/experienced naturopath.

I know of several people IRL who went this route. I think they all focused on fermented foods. Kefir and kombucha are the two biggies that really seemed to help the most. I think I read that the owner of GTs kombucha started it for his mom who had cancer. I would also focus on bone broths with loads of gelatin for bone repair. Make bone broths with lots of chicken feet for maximum gelatin.

I have read on this subject before, I just need to think of where. Maybe Cowan's Fourfold Path to Healing? I think that yes, ferments and bone broth would be great but I would go easy on meat and dairy.

The vegan diet does seem to have a good track record with regards to cancer.

I think the person who starred in the Crazy Sexy Cancer documentary has lots of good info as well.

I'd probably read some of Aajonus Vonderplanitz's books, I've heard good things about We Want to Live.

Food as Medicine

Sit down with your friend and watch these videos asap.
This is THE ONLY website that has been able to keep this video online, because the FDA has a serious vendeta (sp?) against Jerry.

Aejonus Vonderplantiz, like pp said, has a good track record for reversing cancer and other diseases. The book I have of his is We Want to Live. Pretty interesting, definitely worth the read.

I know someone whose mother reversed her cancer after following the Body Ecology approach for a couple of months. Body Ecology is very similar to TF, except with a lot less dairy.

Blessings to your friend!

Without doubt if I had cancer, I would be on Aajonus's Primal Diet, (I am already ).

So I guess the fda has gotten to the site already.

Yes this diet would be helpful, ofcourse as long as most of what she eats is organic. I also disagree with the comment by the naturopath about her needing cleansing and not digesting. She can cleanse all she wants but if she doesnot have good drainage it will hinder her healing. Plus the liver needs amino acids to detox. Also no sugar, absolutely no form off sugar including organic honey...i would lay off fruits for some time too. Hope this helps

If I got cancer I would have to research much more indepth- but I think I would lean toward tf foods like broths and ferments- however w/ a tendency towards more raw foods as well- especially w/ meat- which would have to be grassfed of course. I would absolutely stay away from grains and dairy w/ a ten foot pole.

Traditional Foods are your Best Medicine describes how a TF diet can heal cancer patients. You should check it out.

It worked yesterday.
The screen does come up black at first, and you have to hit play and let it load for a few minutes, in order for it to play smoothly.

You can buy the dvd from Jerry Brunetti, but yes, the FDA has a vendetta against him, because he promotes, with a 100% success rate, the use of inoculated colustrom to cure cancer. It works in days!

If I were to use diet as the only treatment for cancer (and at this point in my life and readings I don't think I would), I might actually chose a ketogenic diet (something like the Optimal Diet, maybe?). I haven't done any in depth reading yet, but I know that tumors are exclusively fueled by glucose, and I've read about research testing ketogenic diets on various cancers, resulting in tumor growth slowing down or stopping entirely.
